El D.F.

We just got back from 8 days in Mexico City, or as it's called here, el D.F. (for distrito federal) or as it's even more commonly called, just plain Mexico. I've been there many times in the past, although not since 1997, but Amy (and of course Indigo) had never been there before.

Mexico City is, IMHO, one of the world's greatest cities and I've always loved it. Of course it's crazy, polluted, hot and crowded, but an incredible amount of fun. There are murals by Diego Rivera, and other muralists, all over the place. There are beautiful old buildings, good food, amazing museums and a big beautiful park.

For me, it was both nostalgic and exciting to be there, but I'm not sure how to describe my feelings. I think I'll just let the photos speak for themselves; if you want to know more about what's what or where, just ask:

Chapultepec:

Museo de Arte Moderno:

Teotihuacan:

Templo Mayor:

Indigo's New Sneakers:

Museo Frida Kahlo (the Blue House):

Museum of Anthropology:

Museo Dolores Olmedo:

Xochimilco:

and other places:
